Social/Emotional: Ava is a sweet, chill girl. She doesn't mind being held and is curious. She does enjoy having a female bunny companion. She loves getting pets and having a play tunnel.
Good With: Other bunnies, adults, children, cats, dogs, and other pets.
She has gone through some additional health assessments and care. She was born with a genetic disorder that causes tooth misalignment, which is called Malocclusion. Because of this and not having access to any hay or chew toys her teeth were severely overgrown. After an exam and pain medication, we were able to trim her teeth back. She has had preventative antibiotic treatments as well. She has no issues eating.
Ava is free because the goal is to find a family who is willing to or knows how to trim her teeth every 3-4 weeks to keep them short. We will teach you how to do it as well. She is very easygoing about it. We will also provide you with teeth nippers. It takes maybe 3 minutes to do. Since she has no issues eating the Vet recommended just clipping them as needed instead of removing her teeth. You can always opt to have her front teeth removed later on if you choose to.
All bunnies that are part of our Community Adoption Program are indoor only and are available to pet homes only. By adopting any of these bunnies you are agreeing to a non-breeding contract that does not expire or change for the remainder of their life.
Pickup is within 7 days of adoption here in Beaverton, OR.
You will receive a personalized email from us after your reservation/adoption goes through that will include all the pertinent information for pickup.
If you need personal delivery, shipping, or ground transport - please contact us prior to reserving/adopting to ensure we can accommodate your request.
Personal Delivery: You will receive a quote, instructions, and a link to pay.
Ground Transport by us: You will receive a quote and instructions. Ground Transport can be paid through that page.
Ground Transport by a 3rd Party: You will receive a quote for us to meet your transport, plus any boarding fees if there is a delay in transport at $5 per day as well as any instructions and links to pay for services by us. You will also need to pay your 3rd party for their services.
Reservations are on a first-come-first-served basis.
