Social/Emotional: Mango is non dominant and would love a bunny companion once he's neutered. He is building confidence with people and other pets being around him. He gets along with other bunnies just fine. He can be shy at first but does warm up once he knows you're not trying to eat him or harm him. This is pretty typical for feral born babies. Since he's a baby he has so much room for growth! Which means with a lot of love, patients and consistency with his humans, he will be an awesome well rounded little bean.
Does well with:
- Females or Neutered Male Rabbits: He would a love a friend after he's neutered. He currently lives with Lewis.
- Adults: Yes
- Young or Inexperienced Children: With help
- Older or Experienced Children: Yes
- Dogs (all sizes): Yes
- Dogs that respect space/well behaved/no prey drive: Yes
- Dogs that are overly affectionate/hyper/behavior issues that are not easily modified: No.
Health:
- Dental: Healthy without issue.
- Face/Eyes/Ears: Healthy without issue.
- Feet/Nails: Healthy, we do recommend regular nail trims every 3-4 weeks.
- Overall/Fur/Skin: Healthy without issue.
- Litter Box Behavior: Good and improving as he is more experienced.
- Other: Mango is from a group of bunnies that were found. The bystander temporarily cared for the bunnies until they were brought in for medical care and adoption. He was underweight when he first came to us. He has since been steadily gaining weight and is doing well. We recommend to continue to free feed him until he's 8 months old and then switch to 1/4 cup pellets per day. We also recommend feeding Alfalfa hay mixed with Timothy and or Orchard grass hay until he's 8 months old. At this point remove Alfalfa hay. This feeding schedule will help him build a stable gut health over the next few months.
