Frequently Asked Questions

What bunnies are available or is a specific bunny available?

A: We have several social media pages. However, our website is the most comprehensive and up to date place to find this information. It has all of our current and upcoming litter information. Including baby and adult bunnies available to preview, reserve and adopt. Extensive information is located on the Available Rabbits page.

Do you transport or deliver?

Yes. We do personal transport (both ground and air), work with 3rd party transports and also offer shipping via Alaska Air. You can find extensive details on the Ground Transport and Shipping Within the US pages.

Do you take in bunnies for foster/surrender/rehoming?

Yes. Please check out the Community Adoption Program pages for more information.

Are your bunnies spayed/neutered?

Rarely. The majority of our adoptions are for babies. Far too young to even consider being spayed or neutered. Our bunnies are also often adopted by other breeders, people that show professionally or for 4H and similar. So we leave it up to the adopter to decide if they want their bunny spayed or neutered. Sometimes we have adult age bunnies that are spayed/neutered. If a bunny is spayed or neutered it will be very clearly indicated on their personal page and in the title of their listing. You can find more information about this on our Spay and Neuter page.

What Veterinarian do you use/recommend?

Milner Animal Hospital in Oregon City, OR is highly recommended by several of our rabbitry friends.

You can also use this website from Rabbit Advocates to locate Rabbit Savvy Vets in your area. We cannot guarantee your satisfaction with any vet. Please call vets and talk to the doctor and/or staff before making your initial appointment.

Do you offer any services for bunnies (Nail Trim/Grooming) ?

Yes. We offer several additional add on services for our Boarding Bunnies. Including: Nail Trimming, Grooming for all fur types, Lion Cuts, Mat removal and Scent Gland cleaning. This information is available on the Boarding Request for on the Boarding Services page.
We offer Nail Trimming Services year round. You can find information on our Services for the general public in the Rabbit Shop under Bunny Services.

Do you offering Boarding?

Yes. Please check out the Boarding Services page for extensive information.

Can I come see all your bunnies in person?

No and Yes. There are restrictions.
Our Rabbitry (our indoor bunny room) is closed to the public due to biosecurity, which is the health and safety of our bunnies. This is part of why we take frequent pictures and videos posting on our social media platforms as well as updating our website frequently.

However, we do offer Virtual Meet Greets via Zoom! You can book an appointment through the Book an Appointment page.
We do have an outdoor seating area for limited in person Meet and Greets. Babies must be over 6 weeks of age in order to be visited in person. Please contact us directly to verify we can accommodate an in person Meet & Greet with any of our bunnies.

I want two (or more) bunnies. Which babies do you think would bond and do well together?

The short answer is: Any two (or more) of the babies would do well together.
The long answer is: We raise all of our babies to be well rounded and well socialized. This process on our end is pretty extensive and starts at birth until they are adopted! Our babies are with their mama's until they are no longer nursing and 1-2 weeks thereafter, depending on the mama. Once our litters are weaned we graduate all the babies to our very large baby play area. This is where they will be until they are adopted. We do not separate breeds. We do this specifically because some people want different breeds of bonded babies. Like one Lionhead and one Holland Lop. Or two Holland Lops and one Mini Plush Lop. This allows our adopters the freedom to choose any two (or more) babies that will transition to their new homes easily and be bonded.

Our adult bunnies may or may not do well bonding with a companion. As they're more establish and mature. We routinely do social checks with our adult bunnies and so when we retire or adopt out one of our older bunnies we have a pretty good idea if they could be partnered with another bunny companion. This information will be specifically stated in their individual listing information.

Can I adopt two boy bunnies together?

Yes. The previous question/answer covers why this is possible.

Do you have a waiting list?

No. We do not keep a waiting list. Our adoptions are on a first come first served basis. If you're looking for a specific type or color of bunny we recommend checking back on the website frequently. As we post litter information well in advance of reservations opening. You can also follow our Instagram page where we post frequent photos and videos!

Our bunnies typically are adopted pretty quickly. Sometimes within minutes of them being posted available. So definitely check back and follow the dates on when reservations are open for any bunny you are interested in adopting! Mark your calendars and set reminders!

What bunny items do you recommend or do I need?

Check out the Rabbit Care section to see many ideas and our recommendations for all the basic bunny areas of care.
